P has proven to be an outstanding learner. She chose to pursue an apprenticeship rather than to enter full time Higher Education because she preferred ‘to be able to earn money rather than incur debt by spending time at university’. Her work was of such a high level that she was fast tracked through the apprenticeship and advanced apprenticeship programmes, achieving her AAT award on the way. On completion she immediately moved onto the level 6 Chartered Accountancy programme which will be achieved in near record time. Her employers have been delighted with her work, her drive and ambition.
From the outset I have always wanted to become a chartered accountant, though at times I was not certain of my ability to achieve this. By choosing an apprenticeship I have been able to make a start on the career ladder at the same time as earning a wage. With the great support and encouragement that I have had both from my employer and Accountancy Plus I have been able to achieve the qualifications I wanted far quicker than I hoped and I will be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant at 23.
